Opening Hours Change – From 18th August 2025
Following feedback from our patients, we are pleased to announce that from Monday 18th August 2025, our opening hours will be:
Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 18:00 (excluding bank holidays)
Monday lunchtime closure: 12:30 – 14:30 (no change)
This change reflects our commitment to continually improving access to our services.
Over the past year, we have made significant improvements, including:
- More appointments available in advance
- An online system allowing you to send us a message instead of calling or visiting – this has been very well received
- A 50% increase in phone team members, reducing our average call wait time to just 3 minutes throughout the day
- A brand-new website, which will continue to grow with answers to frequently asked questions about your care and our practice
- Achieving excellent CQC inspection results – something we are very proud of, and which reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team

Since launching our Friends and Family Test survey, we have received nearly 4,000 responses in just 12 months. We are incredibly grateful for your feedback – both positive and constructive – and we read every single comment. Where possible, we act on your suggestions, and I have personally spoken with patients about their feedback.
Like all GP surgeries, we are not an unlimited service. We have a limited number of appointments available both in advance and on the day. In line with BMA-recognised guidance, we must maintain safe working practices to protect both patient safety and staff wellbeing during a time of unprecedented pressure on general practice.
